The legendary Singer and an avid Sachin Tendulkar fan, Lata Mangeshkar congratulated Sachin on scoring his 50th Test Century and wants him to carry on batting like this for the coming years as well. Wishing him all the success, she said that their’s has always been a Mother-Son relation and that she always prays for him like a mother does. Sachin has been a great fan of the “Nightingale of India” and considers her songs as a stress buster for him on the other hand Lata Mangeshkar also never leaves an opportunity to catch the Master Blaster playing LIVE.
On asked whether the country’s highest Civilian Honour “Bharat Ratna” should be bestowed upon him or not, she said, “For me, he is the real Bharat Ratna for years. Whatever he has done for the country, very few people can do. He deserves this honour. He has made all of us feel proud. India has produced many great cricketers but Sachin is Sachin. He is one and only in his generation.”
Lata admires the Champion batsman for the grit, passion and dedication he shows towards the game even after being there for 21 years. She feels that he is in a very good form which should help the team win the World Cup for the countrymen and make the whole country proud. She says that she feels blessed to have a ’son’ like Sachin Tendulkar and wants him to carry on his innings for many years and win the Bharat Ratna.
